Hot summer weather? Work on your tan, have a swim in Swedish freshwater, play miniature golf or just enjoy an ice cream on the beach. Ängby Beach has two sand beaches and large grass areas, making it perfect for a fun day in the sun. 

Enjoy the beautiful environment that the Swedish Royal King and Queen wake up to every morning. Take a walk in the stunning palace gardens, visit the Drottningholm museum, escape to the magical Chinese Pavilion and, if you’re lucky, you might just experience an opera in the Palace Theatre. The Palace is just 7 minutes from the hotel.

Play 18 holes on royal grounds at Royal Drottningholm Golf Club and enjoy the beautiful nature of Ekerö. At Lovö Bistro you can enjoy your lunch on the terrace overlooking the course.

Join the locals in various activities like flea markets, exhibitions and above all horse racing at Solvalla Racetrack. The highlight of the year is Elitloppet in may (the biggest horse race in the world). 

For the ones who want to experience a true Viking village, a visit to Birka is the perfect day trip. This is the place Sweden calls their first real city and it dates back to 700 AC. Stroll around the Viking houses built exactly like in the Viking Age, or visit the skilled craftsmen. Birka is placed on the island of Björkö in Lake Mälaren and is part of the archipelago of Ekerö. Birka is also world heritage of Unesco.

The season is from April/May to September.
