The “Fish Church” (in Swedish: Feskekörka) was built in 1874, is Gothenburg's oldest market hall and Scandinavia’s largest fish market. The building was inspired by the wooden Norwegian stave churches and Gothic stone churches – hence the name “Fish Church”. Buy all kind of fresh seafood delicacies for a big at-home dinner or enjoy freshly prepared fish in one of the two restaurants or as take-away.
