The Old City Hall

The Old City Hall and Kronhusbodarna are interesting in a historical point of view. Built in 1642 – 55 as a magazine for the armed forces´ grain and weapons arsenal, the old City Hall is the oldest secular building in Gothenburg.

The building has been a garrison church and history musuem. Today the old City Hall houses as a rehearsal and concert hall for the Gothenburg Wind Orchestra.

Aslo pay visit to the Kronhusbodarna building which homes a goldsmith, a glass-hut, a potter, an old-fashioned country shop, a watchmaker and a gift shop.

Enjoy a cup of coffee in the nice café with fireplace and white vaults.
