Experience Norway’s beautiful capital Oslo in golden autumn colours!

Visit Norway’s beautiful capital Oslo this autumn. Stroll through the streets under the golden autumn treetops. Go people-watching, shopping, or visit one of the city’s many great museums and restaurants.

Experience the new National Museum at Aker Brygge, or the Munch Museum, which is located right next to the magnificent Deichman public library, the Oslo Opera House, and the Barcode district, Bjørvika. All just within short walking distance from First Hotel Millennium.

In the parklands of Ekebergparken and Vigelandsparken, the sculptures will be scenically set against the golden autumn canopy, and the Botanical Garden is at its grandest during autumn. Take the Frognerseteren metropolitan railway up to Holmenkollen and enjoy views across the city and Oslo Fjord. Treat yourself to a hot cup of cocoa at the Frognerseteren café when you reach the top.

Walking along Oslo’s new waterfront promenade, you can experienc several of the city’s exciting new neighbourhoods and landmarks, while enjoying views of Oslo Fjord bathed in beautiful autumn light. Enjoying a clear autumn day along the river of Akerselva is also a splendid way to prepare yourself for darker months.

After an adventurous day on the go then treat yourself to a fine meal at one of the city’s many reputed restaurants. Stay centrally at First Hotel Millennium, which is located a short walk from the city’s main high street, Karl Johans gate.

Active autumn holiday in Lillehammer!

In Lillehammer, everything is geared for active holidays on the go. Here you will find sports, excitement, family fun, relaxation and culture in a wonderful combination. The town offers a perfect starting point, whether seeking to go mountain hiking, angling, kayaking or experiencing the mountains on horseback. If you prefer more fast-paced activities, we recommend the bike park Hafjell Bikepark, visiting a climbing park or trying river rafting on Sjoa.

Lillehammer also offers a number of attractions for children of all ages. Family amusement parks and leisure centres include Hunderfossen Family Park, Lilleputthammer, Jorekstad Leisure Park, Lekeland, and Barnas Gård to name but a few. We also recommend Maihaugen, Norway’s largest open-air museum, where you can experience life in olden days, and Lillehammer Art Museum’s current exhibition "Anna Ancher – Skagen’s inner and outer space".

When you have concluded the day’s activities, we recommend a stroll along the charming pedestrian street in Lillehammer with its historic buildings, intimate boutiques and eateries. You can also simply relax in the hotel lounge by its crackling fireplace where you can enjoy a hot cup of cocoa.

Stay centrally at our hotel in the centre of Lillehammer.
