Art Exhibition Lillehammer

Experience the art exhibitions at First Hotel Breiseth in Lillehammer. The athmosphere of the old days you will find throuout the hotel. In addition we have several exhibitions every year.

In the rooms in Galleriet Mari Wrinkler will show her works for a year. In the Gallery Eli Bjørneby will show her works from 3.Feb until Easter 2024.

Stay the night in the middle of an exhibition, or just come to admire the works.

Wenche Svensson and Anna Reingraberova

Wenche Svensson and Anna Reingraberova have joined forces to create an exhibition at the Gallery in the Breiseth Artist Hotel.

Wenche Svensson hails from Romsdalen. She became involved in the artistic community in Bakklandet, Trondheim, and apprenticed under Roar Matheson Bye. She has served as the leader of the Lillehammer Painters Club and is featured in the art book "A Day in My Life". In recent years, she has predominantly worked with acrylics. Wenche holds annual exhibitions both independently and collaboratively.

Anna Reingraberova is from Slovakia but has been living in Norway since 2013. She learned to paint nature, still life, abstracts, and collages from Josef Jelenak, initially with a dry brush and later with acrylics. She has exhibited in Øyer, the Keramikk Gallery in Lillehammer, and at the County Governor's office in Oppland.

Meet the artists at the exhibition opening at the Breiseth Artist Hotel on Saturday, April 6th. Musician Angelika Binder and her entourage will also be present.

Opening on April 6, 2024, at 12:00 PM.
The exhibition will run until June 3rd.

About the artist
Mari Winkler Solberg is originally a (BA) graphic designer from Famouth in UK. She combined freelancing in graphic design with teaching for many years,  later completing a Master in Arts, and then engaged as a lecturer/supervisor at NTNU. In 2019 she finally found her old easel and paintbrush. Mari had for endless years dreamed of expressing herself more than just digitally, and painting became essential for her.

Exhibitions
When she had her first solo exhibition in February 2021, she sold all her original artworks. Since then, she has been invited to show her art both locally and nationally.

Festival Exhibition feat. Mai Britt Normann

We continue the success from 2023, and the Main Street Music Festival will also present an artist at First Hotel Breiseth in 2024. We are proud to present Embee Normann, or Mai Britt Normann, a hidden gem in Norwegian pop-rock history.

As a musician, we get to experience her on the main stage on Friday during the festival. We can safely call Mai Britt a multi-artist. She is a songwriter, vocalist, musician, visual artist, and she has recently released the poetry collection Blåvinge.

The latter is available for purchase in the Festival Market at Kulturhuset Banken. It's almost a given that Mai Britt Normann is this year's festival exhibitor.

At First Hotel Breiseth, we can experience the artist's universe in pictures, but also some sculptures. Don't miss this exhibition.

Opening Thursday 6th June at 3:00 pm.
The exhibition will be displayed until 3rd July.

First Hotel Breiseth is also the festival hotel, within walking distance to all events in the heart of Lillehammer.
