Frederiksberg Garden

For centuries, Frederiksberg Gardens has been a favorite outing spot for Copenhageners. Once this vast parkland was the private pleasure garden of the Danish King. Today, you can drift downstream in a romantic rowboat just like royalty. You can also visit historic follies, such as the 200-year-old Chinese temple.

There are open views from the gardens to the elephants in the neighbouring zoo and you can discover fine restaurants and easy eateries among the parkland woods. Or do like many Copenhageners – bring your own picnic basket.
