Here you will find wonderful lush parklands, residential areas, broad leafy boulevards, and 19th century streets lined with cafés and fashion stores, making the area perfect for both families and couples on romantic weekends.

Copenhagen Zoo is not to be missed if travelling with children. The 4,000 animals include pandas and other rare species. If you wish to relax and digest the day’s impressions, we recommend a visit to Frederiksberg Gardens – perfect for a picnic, a downstream trip in a rowboat, or simply a serene stroll.

Copenhagen ZOO

Meet more than 4,000 fascinating animals at Copenhagen ZOO and travel between continents in just one day. You can also enjoy churros while watching the chimps, ice cream by the polar bears, and lunch with views to the pandas in the state-of-the-art Panda House.

You can also visit the rare Tasmanian devils or experience close encounters with diving polar bears in an underwater glass tunnel. There are views across the whole city from the Zoo Tower, and a world of food offerings awaits at stalls and restaurants throughout the gardens every day of the year.

Frederiksberg Garden

For centuries, Frederiksberg Gardens has been a favorite outing spot for Copenhageners. Once this vast parkland was the private pleasure garden of the Danish King. Today, you can drift downstream in a romantic rowboat just like royalty. You can also visit historic follies, such as the 200-year-old Chinese temple.

There are open views from the gardens to the elephants in the neighbouring zoo and you can discover fine restaurants and easy eateries among the parkland woods. Or do like many Copenhageners – bring your own picnic basket.
