Fritz Røed Sculpture Park is located in the heart of Bryne and consists of 10 sculptures that reflect humour, earnestness, play and reflection. They are all cast in bronze in Italy and celebrate the joy of life, simplicity and power of expression. The sculptures were created by Norwegian artist Fritz Røed (1928-2002).
The park also offers playground equipment for children and has several drinking fountains. There are also benches and, not least, picnic tables and seating. The park has adopted a universal design to accommodate everyone. Sculptor Fritz Røed was born in Bryne in 1928. He is best known for the memorial Swords sculpture in the mountains by Hafrsfjord commemorating the battle in 872 that united Norway as one kingdom.
