Borestranden is one of Norway's most beautiful beaches and stretches for 3 kilometres. The beach lies along route 507, the National Tourist Route Jæren, and reaches from Hodne in the south to the river estuary of Figgjo in the north.
Borestranden is a favourite among locals. On fine summer days, the beach is often full of bathers, sun-seekers and surfers. Be aware that the undercurrents at the beach can be fierce, so take care when swimming and watch out for children playing in the water.
Beach life is wonderful all year round here, and a trip to the beach in winter can be quite refreshing, too. There is a building in the area with public lavatories, showers and benches.
