Explore Säffle

Säffle’s old water tower stands proudly beside the hotel and is one of the town’s most iconic landmarks. Built in 1914, the 45-metre-high tower was designed by architect Ivar Justus Tengbom, also known for creating the Matchstick Palace (Tändstickspalatset) and the Stockholm Concert Hall.

Today, the tower houses an art centre and is open to the public during seasonal opening days. Climb to the top for a glimpse of Säffle’s skyline or visit one of the local art exhibitions hosted inside this historic building.

The old water tower is a perfect example of Säffle’s mix of history, culture and creativity — all just steps from the hotel.
