Beaches in Kalmar

Bring your swimwear when visiting Kalmar. During summer, the city offers a variety of bathing areas — from lively family beaches to peaceful spots surrounded by nature.

Enjoy the fresh air and calm waters at Stensö or Långviken, both located just outside the city centre. For a classic seaside experience, head to Kalmarsundsbadet, about two kilometres from the hotel, where you can swim from the 180-metre jetty or in the shallow bay while enjoying views of the castle and the inlet.

If you prefer to combine shopping with a swim, visit the popular Kattrumpan beach, located at the end of Storgatan — a local favourite on warm summer days.
