In the savannah, giraffes wander around together with zebras, kudus and the rare oryx antelopes. The polar bear takes a cooling dip, the red panda has just been served fresh bamboo, and suddenly a mighty roar is heard from the male lion Akash, telling the whole garden that this is his territory.
In Aalborg Zoo you meet 11 out of the 12 most popular zoo animals, and as the only place in Denmark you can see the Borneo orangutan and the Asiatic lion. Go exploring for the distinctive and lesser-known animals. In the South America house, the sloths crawl freely around the lianas above your head, and in the same place you can get close to armadillos and perhaps see a capybara for the first time.
