Malangen Resort First Signature Collection

Malangen Resort lies on the shore of the Malangen fjord, just over an hour's drive south of Tromsø and far from the city lights. Stay in a hotel room with a Hästens bed, an apartment by the water or a red rorbu (a traditional fishing cabin), all with views of the fjord. At Marmælen Restaurant the menu draws on northern Norwegian traditions, with fish from the nearby fjords and local reindeer and lamb. From September to March the northern lights are the big draw. Walk to Camp Nikka, the resort's own wilderness camp with no artificial light, drive your own husky team in winter, or warm up in the glass-fronted sauna before a dip in the fjord. In summer the midnight sun keeps the evenings bright for kayaking, paddleboarding, hiking and cycling.
