Trapholt Museum

Be cultural at Trapholt Museum

Trapholt is one of the largest and most visited museums, you'll find in Denmark, outside of Copenhagen. It's located in Kolding in Southern Denmark.

With more than 8 galleries and 2500 square meters of visual display, the museum's exhibitions with both enlighten and astonish you. You'll also find options and activities for children. Go Back in Time at Koldinghus

Discover an important piece of history in the center of Kolding, the castle Koldinghus.
Koldinghus was built in the 13th century and played an important part in both Denmark's and Kolding's history for more than 750 years. In 1808 a fire took place in the castle and left it in ruins. 

Today, Koldinghus houses a museum with exhibitions from the castle’s prime time. You'll also find special, one-of-a-kind exhibitions. Go back in time: Visit the castle’s dungeons, which used to house prisoners. Listen to all of the stories from way back. Go to the ballroom that held royal celebrations for some of the most popular Danish Kings and Queens. Bring your whole family, both children and adults, as there are activities for all ages and many stories to learn about the history of the castle.

Dronning Dorotheas Badstue is a wellness and spa facility in the center of Kolding. The Geographical Garden in Kolding is a large botanical garden, where you can experience pieces of Japan, China, Korea, and North America. The Garden is almost 100 years old and has more than 2000 different sorts of trees, bushes, and flowers. You can bring your whole family, whether you just want some fresh air and see some pretty flowers and plants or seek inspiration to your own garden. The children can go on an adventure in the caves and enjoy the miniature size of city Kolding.
