At any time of year, there is always something happening at Storstenshöjden!
Stay with us at First Hotel Örebro and enjoy winter sports activities in the magnificent Kilsbergen countryside.
The Blue Hills of Kilsbergen are Örebro’s part of a landscape that stretches all the way across Sweden from the Gävle area to Bohuslän. In this setting, and just off the E18 between Oslo and Stockholm, we have Garphyttan, Ånnaboda and Storstenshöjden. Enjoying wonderful views across the Närke plains and our proud town, the latter is Örebro’s alpine centre. Besides ski slopes, it also has cross-country trails and much more.
From the hotel, it is only 17 km to Storstenshöjden. Driving westwards towards Garphyttan, the trip takes about 20 minutes by car. Overnight parking in the garage used by the hotel costs SEK 45. Alternatively, a 24-hour ticket costs SEK 75.

For those coming to Kilsbergen to enjoy cross-country skiing, sledging, fishing or simply the delights of nature, our normal weekend prices apply for overnight stays at the hotel.
Lift passes for Storstenshöjden’s ski slopes are available from the hotel (e.g. when checking in). Information on opening times, prices, weather, activities and equipment hire is given on Storstenshöjden’s website.
Lunch packs from our breakfast buffet cost SEK 40. Each one contains two sandwiches, a piece of fruit and coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Just remember to bring your own thermos!

Alpine skiing package prices, 2008 - 2009 season
SEK 495 per person per night in a double room.
SEK 200 per child under 7 years old sharing a double room with adults.
Single-room supplement, SEK 200.
When booking an alpine skiing package for two or more nights, lunch packs are also included in the deal!
The alpine skiing package, which can be combined with our other special offers, is available for any stay between Friday and Sunday or during Sweden’s winter sports break.
