Beyer'en Bar & Restaurant

Bergen has always been Norway’s gateway to the world, it was here that the first spices came to Norway as well as the first liquor. The town was and still is a market town for local farmers.

Since the town  has a natural harbour there has always been a strong fishing industry here and the wealth of the town can be traced back to when ‘klippfisk’ and ‘tørrfisk’ where traded here from the north of Norway, and sold all over the world.

Here at Beyer’en we use local produce with influence and spices from the continent. We have also taken a couple of traditional dishes to give you an experience of a genuine Bergen kitchen.
